Vintage Guitar

Jet Guitars JJ 350 BGT HP90 Black The Jet Guitars JJ-350 BGT plays on a single contrast — the black of the roasted poplar body against the gold pickguard — and it’s unbeatable. The H + P90 configuration with Alnico V magnets on a 647.7 mm scale length, the neck and fingerboard in roasted Canadian maple, the vintage-style vibrato and the 22 frets: it’s all there, nothing is superfluous. A guitar that has to be earned.

ARTICLE N° 123712
The Jet Guitars JJ-350 BGT is built around a deliberate visual paradox: the black torrefied poplar body — top, back and sides all subjected to the same heat treatment — serves as a setting for the gold pickguard, which runs through the body like a vein of gold in a dark stone. This is not mere decoration. It is a statement of identity.

The wood, for its part, has already done its work even before being assembled. The torrefied poplar emerges from the oven with its unwanted frequencies burned away, its mass stabilised, its tone tightened. The torrefied Canadian maple neck with a Modern C profile follows the same principle: dry, stable, and unaffected by seasonal changes. The torrefied maple fingerboard — brighter than rosewood, with a more direct attack — delivers a sound that doesn’t linger. The 241.3 mm radius keeps the hand flat across the 22 frets of the 647.7 mm scale length, and the 41.9 mm nut width gives each string the space it needs.

The real standout feature of the BGT is its H + P90 configuration with JET-customised Alnico V magnets. A humbucker that holds the low end, a P90 that bites into the mids: the 3-way selector switches between two radically different tonal characters, where a pair of classic humbuckers would remain in the same register. Volume and tone refine the palette.

The vintage-style vibrato invites bends without going out of tune — provided you use the polymer-fibre saddle that has been fitted to the tuners from the outset. The double-action truss rod and chrome hardware complete a guitar designed to stand the test of time in the spotlight.
