The Latin Percussion LP1428NXII Black Box II cajon is a direct evolution of the original Black Box model. It retains the strong points of its predecessor while adding several concrete improvements. Firstly, the bonded meranti front ensures a clear, stable response. Secondly, the MDF body offers both density and strength, making it durable. Thanks to these choices of materials, the sound gains in depth and definition.
What's more, two sets of internal timbres are built in to enhance the precision of the slams. This makes each strike sharper and more percussive. In addition, a bass port at the rear of the instrument enhances bass projection. As a result, the instrument maintains a fine balance between power and clarity.
