The Meinl SC80B Cajon is proof that a simple cube can conceal an astonishingly rich sound. Made entirely from Baltic birch, it produces a warm grain and a natural balance between bass and treble. You can feel the depth of the bass and the clarity of the slap.
The secret? Two fixed internal stamps, tensioned against the front, which provide a typical snare drum resonance. It's precise, articulate and highly expressive. The forward-facing sound outlet ensures better diffusion, which is very useful on stage or in acoustic applications.
Standing on its rubber feet, it remains stable, even on smooth floors.
