The LTD ALR-II FR is Andy LaRocque's (King Diamond) signature guitar, featuring Neck-Thrup construction for outstanding sustain and a short 24.75-inch scale, which facilitates fast playing and bends for metal solos. It boasts tonal versatility thanks to its Seymour Duncan pickup configuration, with a push/pull volume control that allows the humbucker to be split to expand tonal options, from powerful leads to clean, articulate tones. Designed for performance, it features a Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-lock tremolo system and 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets, while offering a distinctive look with its See Thru Purple finish on a quilted maple top.
Presentation
The three-piece maple neck, with its Thin U profile, glides along with surprising ease, and the Macassar ebony fingerboard, combined with the progressive 300-400 mm radius, opens the door to a comfort that's ideal for both fast solos and hard-edged riffs.
The Seymour Duncan JB and Classic Stack Plus pickups reveal a broad sound palette, capable of navigating between precision, tight grain and nuanced clarity. The Floyd Rose 1000 provides formidable stability, perfect for expressive vibratos or plunges with no feedback.
