Manley's Reference Cardio is a large diaphragm condenser microphone with cardioid polar pattern. The Micro Reference Cardioid utilizes the same electronics as the Gold Reference Series, but with a cardioid-only, center-locked capsule with a thicker section (6 micron) gold particle spray diaphragm. Surprisingly transparent, it is a microphone of choice for demanding engineers and producers, who want to record voices and instruments with vast sound, with audiophile quality sound. Its nuanced and silky result extends well beyond human hearing. The mediums are warm and clear, the bass is powerful and punchy, whatever the source. The Manley Reference Card comes in a carrying case with its power box, suspension, and cable.
