The Manley Reference Cardioid is a large-diaphragm tube condenser microphone with a cardioid pick-up pattern. The Reference Cardioid uses the same electronics as the Gold Reference series, but with a uniquely cardioid, centre-positioned capsule and a thicker (6 micron) gold-particle sputtered diaphragm. Surprisingly transparent, it's a first-choice microphone for demanding engineers and producers who want to record wide-ranging vocals and instruments with audiophile-quality sound. Its nuanced, silky results extend far beyond human hearing. The midrange is warm and clear, and the bass is powerful and punchy, whatever the source. The Manley Reference Cardio is supplied in a carrying case with its power supply, suspension and cable.
