Presentation
The MK 2S omni capsule is characterised by a moderate rise in high-frequency response at 0°, which compensates for the high-frequency losses caused by the increase in the amount of diffuse field when used close to the reverberation radius. It is often used for A/B stereo, Decca Tree or as an ambient microphone.
Its slightly "brighter" sound (compared to the MK 2 and MK 2H) makes it ideal for use as a main or ambient microphone, particularly in large venues.

The capsules in the stereo sets come with a pairing certificate. This document guarantees extremely low dispersion of the level characteristics and frequency response curve. These curves are archived, as they are for all SCHOEPS capsules, and serve as a reference should they need to be returned to the factory for checking or repair. This ensures that the long life of SCHOEPS products can be extended even further, and that the performance for which they were chosen is always at its highest level.
