The Manley VoxBox is a Channel Strip with a Class A microphone preamp, Pultec EQ, optical compressor, de-esser/limiter and switchable VU meter. The VoxBox contains the best of Manley's equipment: its preamp section is taken from the brand's famous mono mic preamp, the compression section is taken from the Variable MU (Manley's best-selling product) and the de-esser/limiter is taken from the ELOP. All these components make it a truly exceptional tool for enhancing your studio. The VU meters can be switched to 5 positions to switch between levels: control line input, preamp output and final output audio levels, as well as compressor gain reduction and de-esser/limiter.

Since the late 1980s, Manley has consistently focused on the manufacture of top-of-the-range lamping equipment. This USA-made Channel Strip features Class A lamp circuitry, as well as the exceptional, rugged build quality you expect from a Manley product.
True to its name, the Manley Voxbox is equipped with a superb mic preamp, derived from the famous Manley mono mic preamp, giving you all the essentials for great analogue sound. You can use the variable input attenuator before the first stage of the tube to receive +4 line level signals or instruments. The 48V phantom power supply can be switched from the front panel and an effective low-cut switch allows you to output the sounds. Finally, an intelligent gain selector lets you control the amount of feedback introduced around the tube circuit, allowing you to achieve a wide variety of tones and amplification levels.
The optical compressor section has been inspired by the features of Manley's Variable-MU, and ELOP limiter. Manley has also found a way to compress the signal before it reaches the tubes, without adversely affecting distortion or frequency response.
Manley also pioneered a sidechain design, developing a 'parametric compression' technique of using up to four different time constants simultaneously, and controlling them with simple attack, release and threshold controls. In short, the VoxBox compressor is perfect for drums, bass, vocals and more.
