Marshall - 2555X Silver Jubilee
100-watt Silver Jubilee head, new edition including 5 speaker outputs, impedance switch removed, impedance is now assigned directly to the outputs (16 to 4 ohms). The Mains Voltage selector has been removed, and the amp's power supply is now fixed to comply with the standards of each country. The handle fixings are chrome-plated, as is the input jack, and the Mains and Standby switches have been slightly modified, as the originals are no longer manufactured.
Presentation
So in response to popular demand, Marshall created the 2555X, which is a modern reissue of the 2555 but with the same sonic characteristics and functionality.
Over the last 50 years, the Marshall stack has been an essential part of the definition of the rock sound. Since 1965, the image of the Marshall stack has probably been one of the only truly timeless ones in the history of rock music.
2015 is the 50th anniversary of the birth of the famous Marshall stack. To celebrate this, Marshall has created two limited-edition baffles: the 812A-50 with its cutaway panel and the 812B-50 with its straight panel.
Made in England, they will only be produced in 2015, the year of the 50th anniversary.
The 50th anniversary stack features the original cosmetics: identical finishes, leather handles and Celestion G12M speakers.
The two baffles will carry a special plate to identify them as a 50th anniversary limited edition.

Like the other amps in the series, the 2555 incorporated a Pentode/Triode switch that halves the output power (100W/50W), and a preamp circuit with three gain 'modes' Clean, Rhythm Clip and a footswitchable lead channel.
This model was a great success until it went out of production in 1988, and at the request of many fans, Marshall is relaunching it this year in an improved version.
