Martin redesigned some of these models and made a few modifications. The neck and bridge fingerboard have been redesigned, and the Performing Artiste shapes have been introduced. Vibrations are transmitted faster and more completely, and the new Fishman MX preamp has been added to give the instrument a sound ever closer to that of the legendary Martin models, whether played purely acoustically or connected to an amp. A new mother-of-pearl trim has been added around the rosette.
