Presentation
The Martin & Co D-10E's acoustic section is based on a spruce X-Brace scalloped bracing, which maximises projection and clarity of sound while maintaining a dynamic resonance in every chord. The Modern Belly bridge in Richlite FSC, combined with a compensated white Tusq saddle, optimises the transmission of vibrations to the body, offering a balanced, expressive response.
The D-10E Martin features a Performing Artist neck, designed for a fluid grip that facilitates fast, accurate playing. Its FSC-certified Richlite fingerboard, 44.45 mm wide at the nut, is complemented by a 16" radius and 20 frets, guaranteeing comfortable positions and natural vibrato. Mother-of-pearl fingerboard markings dot the neck, guiding your fingering through each note with elegance, while retaining the refined aesthetic that has characterized Martin guitars for generations.
The D-10E features a piezo pickup under the bridge saddle, combined with Martin E1 electronics and a tuner built into the soundhole. This allows you to plug the guitar directly into an amp or PA while retaining the authentic sound of solid spruce. Every note remains clear and defined, and the built-in tuner makes it easy to quickly fine-tune before each performance. This configuration transforms the D-10E into a versatile instrument capable of following your every musical whim, from delicate fingerpicking to energetic strumming.

Compared to the photos on the site, the spruce top on mine is very, very light, almost white in colour which makes it look a little 'cheap' which is a bit of a shame really, as it sounds absolutely amazing and plays beautifully. I'm sure it'll darken over time. I admit to having been concerned about receiving it by post, but it came perfectly protected in awesome packaging, and was pretty much in tune and ready play straight out of the case (not a hard case, but 'gigbag' somehow doesn't do it justice) It has a slightly high action if I'm going to get picky, but honestly, I can't put thing down, so it can't be that bad!! Satin finish is flawless and wonderfully soft to touch, stays in tune with capo on anywhere. Stays in tune period! Definitely my new favourite guitar!
