Folk Guitar

The mahogany chosen by Martin & Co to make the D-15M Folk imposes its warm, vibrant signature with natural aplomb. Its Dreadnought format breathes widely and projects a full voice, designed to accompany your playing with an enveloping presence and raw elegance. The aesthetic remains sober, the satin touch inviting the hands to stay, prolonging each chord in a fluid and familiar sensation.

ARTICLE N° 46628
Along with the Martin & Co guitar, the D-15M features an all-mahogany construction that directly influences dynamic response and overall balance. The spruce X-bracing channels vibrations with consistency, promoting a solid bass base and an expressive midrange. The Indian rosewood bridge and compensated bone saddle contribute to harmonious vibration transmission.

This architecture supports your playing over time, even when the intensity changes over the course of a piece.

The neck of the D-15M has a Modified Low Oval profile that naturally accompanies the left hand along the entire length of the 645.16 mm scale. The 42.86 mm bone nut balances comfort and precision, facilitating chord progressions and more nuanced passages. The Indian rosewood fingerboard, punctuated by abalone markings, adds a clear reading of the neck.
Every movement is smoother, reinforcing the connection between the instrument and the way you feel.

The instrument is part of the typical Martin USA continuity of sound, designed to last.

For generations, Martin & Co has been crafting acoustic guitars that have accompanied the evolution of folk, blues and Americana music around the world.
The brand has built its reputation on rigorous wood selection, precise assembly and an artisanal approach that remains true to its origins.

Each series reflects a particular vision of sound, often inspired by the historic models that have marked decades of musical creation.

To accompany the D-15M folk guitar, add a set of Phosphor Bronze strings adapted to your touch, to maintain a balanced response over time. And don't forget an adjustable strap in leather or thick fabric, for added comfort over long periods of playing.

A humidifier will also be useful for preserving the mahogany during climatic variations.
