The Martin & Co D-X1E Koa electro-acoustic folk guitar is based on a scalloped spruce X-Brace bracing that structures the top and channels vibrations with precision. This internal architecture promotes a balanced response, useful for moving from playing open chords to more nuanced arpeggios, without a feeling of stiffness under the fingers.
With its birch laminate neck and slightly flattened C-shape, the Martin & Co D-X1E Koa electro-acoustic folk guitar naturally accompanies the left hand along the entire length of the scale. The 406.4 mm radius provides a comfortable surface for varying positions, while the 44.45 mm nut allows the fingers to breathe, even when the instrument is set wide.
As for amplification, the Martin & Co D-X1E Koa electro-acoustic folk guitar features Martin E-1 electronics combined with a piezo sensor, designed to faithfully translate acoustic playing to an amp or PA system. The settings remain accessible and consistent, so you can quickly adjust the sound balance to suit your environment. This configuration is equally suited to quiet rehearsals or amplified passages, while maintaining a coherent, legible sound identity.
