Made from solid spruce and mahogany, this Martin D-18 produces a sound worthy of the models it inherits. Their sober looks, timeless tone and the warm sound of the body woods combine here with a hand-carved bracing resonating under the bonnet for the same full, authoritative and clear sound as the models that made it a legend. The vintage details of the good old D-18 model, like the open tuners, meet a modern, unobtrusive neck for an old-soul sound and contemporary ergonomics.

Since the mid-1960s, the D-18 model has won over several generations of musicians, in all styles and types of music.
Most of the changes it has undergone over the years have helped it to stand the test of time, despite health restrictions on varnishes and the increasing scarcity of top-of-the-range tonewoods, without ever losing the very essence of this timeless model - its timbre.
