The AETLGE Cajon features a guitar-string mechanism that reproduces the characteristic 'snap' of flamenco cajons. Eucalyptus, selected for its density, provides excellent sustain, while the slightly curved shape of the body enhances playing comfort.

The Meinl AETLGE Artisan Tango Cajon is traditionally handcrafted in Spain. It combines a front panel in grey eucalyptus with a body in 9 mm Baltic birch. The result is an excellent balance between clarity and depth of sound.
The bass comes through with good volume without muffling the treble. The 6 internal strings are precisely preset for a well-defined snare effect. They are hand-tensioned to avoid any parasitic vibration.
The strike plate is ergonomically curved to improve strike distribution. The resonating body is fitted with rubber feet to absorb unwanted vibrations.
