The Meinl AETLLI is a top-of-the-range Cajon handcrafted in Spain. It belongs to the Artisan Tango Line series, renowned for its quality craftsmanship and impeccable finish.
Its front panel, made from limba, an exotic wood with pronounced grain, is glued to a body of 7-ply 9mm Baltic birch. This combination provides a remarkable balance between deep bass and clear treble.
Two groups of three micro-wound snare strings are tensioned inside, for a dry, defined snap. These strings are hand-fitted using the traditional methods of the Pepote luthier.
There are also notches for the thumbs, for real playing comfort. The overall timbre is warm, with no parasitic resonance. The attack is responsive, even at low volume.
The Cajon rests on four soft rubber feet, which absorb vibrations and ensure perfect stability.
