Norman - ST50 Cherry Burst HG Anthem

With the ST50 Cherry Burst HG Anthem, Norman presents an electro-acoustic guitar in the Dreadnought body style, made in Canada. The 25.5" (647.70 mm) scale length is the industry standard, and the .012 to .053 gauge set is typical for this body style.

The solid Sitka spruce top covers the lower frequencies, whilst the solid flamed maple back and neck provide a tighter response in the upper end of the spectrum. The Godin Atelier bracing system, with its composite taper, enhances the top’s rigidity and minimises its deflection over time. Weighing 2.20 kg, the instrument falls within the standard weight range for a solid-wood Dreadnought.

The rosewood fingerboard features 21 frets and is adorned with custom Norman inlays serving as position markers. The 16" (406.40 mm) radius is well-suited to both barre chords and single-note playing. The 43.69 mm Graphtech nut sets the string spacing, whilst the 16:1 gear ratio tuners minimise tuning drift. The rosewood bridge and tailpiece transmit vibrations to the soundboard.

On stage, the LR Baggs Anthem system combines a built-in pickup and a transducer under the bridge, with a blend switch, phase control and pickup level adjustment. A battery check control prevents the guitar from cutting out during a set. The High Gloss Cherry Burst finish covers the body, featuring a custom Norman pickguard. Supplied in a gig bag, this guitar is designed for singer-songwriters performing with amplification.
