Norman - ST68 MJ HG Anthem Natural

Norman crafts the ST68 MJ HG Anthem Natural as if it were a piece of the Canadian forest that had learnt to sing. The Mini Jumbo body size delivers volume without overwhelming the hand; the bass response is full-bodied, whilst the treble retains its clarity. The instrument evokes the spruce, cedar and wide-open spaces from which the wood originates.

The solid Sitka spruce top captures every nuance of the touch, whilst the solid rosewood back adds depth to the bass. The mahogany neck, glued to the body, transmits vibrations without loss. The Godin Atelier internal bracing system, with its tapered design, ensures the top’s rigidity and stability over time.

The Richlite fingerboard features bespoke Norman inlays, the visual hallmark of the Studio series. The 16-inch (406.40 mm) radius makes barre chords just as easy to play as melodic lines, and the 43.69 mm Graphtech nut ensures precise string spacing. The open-gear tuners with a 16:1 ratio keep the tuning stable, set after set.

On stage, the LR Baggs Anthem system blends the signal from an internal pickup with that of a transducer under the bridge, featuring phase control, level adjustment and a built-in battery check. With a body made entirely of solid wood, this Mini Jumbo delivers on its promise in both rehearsal and amplified settings.

The high-gloss finish showcases the Natural colour and the wood’s grain, with a tortoiseshell pickguard adding a vintage touch. Made in Canada and supplied with a gig bag, it is equally at home in the studio and on stage.
