Presentation
The Thunder 30 BK is a modern all-tube amplifier head. It has a Class A output power of 30W, sufficient for intensive use, for example with a 4x12 speaker.
Its all-tube design allows it to be amplified on 2 amplifier tubes. The sound therefore always remains the same, even at low volume.
In addition, the TH30 BK is a dual-channel head. Where the Clean channel resonates with very British tones, the Dirty channel provides a completely different color. The saturation arrives very early and the shape equalization offers the user the possibility of sculpting his signal. Thanks to its dedicated potentiometer, you increase the bass and treble while digging the midrange. The amp then produces very modern saturations, pushing up to the sounds of the most aggressive Metal.
The Shape control acts as a 3-band equalization in which the treble and bass would be increased as the midrange is reduced. So, you can have a sound rich in midrange, warm and vintage, or a sound loaded with bass and treble, for more modern, very aggressive distortions.
Obviously the truth is elsewhere and you will find your happiness in the intermediate settings, which will allow you to find a whole range of sounds: vintage, modern, warm, tight etc...

Channel B, for its part, offers a sound that is still different, just as versatile but more traditional, with its 3-band equalization, and a gain that is more reminiscent of the Rocker or AD series, less extreme and therefore more suited to crunchy sounds.
The stated goal is to give great sounds without having to spend your life turning the knobs. And it works...
Finally, adding the attenuator allows you to play with the tubes heated to the max, but controlling the output level.
