When it comes to wood, Pearl has succeeded in relegating the crate wood barrels of certain low cost brands to the backwoods wardrobe in favour of a six-ply combination of poplar and mahogany, an obviously winning combination. The same concern for quality can be seen on the various stands, particularly the snare drum and cymbal stands, which feature the UniLock system, which is extremely effective in any position.
