Presentation
The Pearl PHF1616 Philharmonic is the instrument for percussionists looking for power and precision. With its generous 16 x 16" dimensions, it delivers a massive, dark and terribly expressive sound.
Its 6-ply maple body (7.2 mm thick) generates natural warmth and well-balanced projection. Each stroke is deep and controlled, with well-defined attacks. The Super Hoop II hoops maintain stable tension while allowing the barrel to vibrate freely.
The SR-505 trigger is a major asset: it allows you to adjust the 3 timbre systems independently. You can choose between two synthetic timbres with 5 cables and a steel timbre with 8 cables. You can adapt the sound to suit the style you're playing, from muffled classics to sharper accents.
This snare drum is perfect for parades, classical ensembles or film scores. Its sober, professional and timeless look always makes a good impression.
Its response remains clear even at very low volume. Outdoors, it stands up perfectly to a muscular wind ensemble. It's an instrument designed to last, but also to thrill. A real reference for demanding percussionists. Try it at least once if you're looking for a rich, full, nuanced sound.
