The Pearl PHP-1465/N #103 Philharmonic snare drum will surprise you! Made from maple, it delivers a full, well-rounded sound, with that muffled edge we love in big halls. It really shines in acoustic settings where every detail counts.
The instrument has a 7.2 mm thick, 8-ply body. The SR505 trigger is a real nugget: it's quiet, smooth and superbly practical for switching between soft and edgy playing. It lets you juggle between the 3 types of timbre (light cable, stainless steel wire, synthetic gut). And in terms of comfort, it's really nice: it responds well, it's supple, but always precise.
And in terms of looks, the snare looks great in Piano Black (103).
