The Pearl PMX1450SC-448 snare drum is made of maple and measures 14" x 5". It rests on a 6-ply barrel with a total thickness of 5.4 mm. This construction promotes even resonance throughout the frequency range. The midrange remains well centred and easy to control. Highs retain presence without becoming aggressive.
The 45° chamfer helps to achieve a clean, clear attack. The deep-drawn 2.3 mm SuperHoop II hoops contribute to tuning stability. They also allow the barrel to vibrate freely. CL Bridge shells limit contact with the wood. This design reduces unnecessary vibration losses.
The SR-017 trigger operates smoothly and directly. It allows simple, precise adjustment of the S-022N timbre. The response remains even over the entire striking surface. The white finish with pearl effect adds a charmingly classic, luminous look.
