The Pearl PMX1450SC-883 snare drum is made from 14" x 5" maple. It uses an EvenPly Six body with 6 plies and a thickness of 5.4 mm. This structure ensures an even distribution of sound across the entire spectrum. Bass frequencies remain clean and well defined. The midrange remains clearly legible. High frequencies come through with precision but without excess.
The 45° chamfer contributes to a clean, controlled attack. The deep-drawn 2.3 mm SuperHoop II hoops enhance tuning stability. They also let the body breathe naturally. CL Bridge shells reduce contact points with the wood. This design helps preserve the natural resonance of the barrel.
The SR-017 trigger operates smoothly and easily. The S-022N tone control remains precise and consistent. Finally, the Matte Mocha Swirl finish provides a sober, modern look.
