Presentation
The Pearl Session Studio Select STS924XSPC-405 is a continuation of the Pearl kits designed for recording. The 5.4mm EvenPly-Six drums combine selected birch and African mahogany. This construction produces a naturally balanced sound, with clear midrange and deep bass.
The 22" x 16" bass drum develops a full, well-centred sound. The 10" x 7" and 12" x 8" toms are precise and easy to tune. The 16" x 16" bass tom reinforces the sound base with controlled depth. The 60° external chamfer promotes projection while limiting excessive harmonics.
The 2.3 mm SuperHoop II hoops contribute to a smooth, even response. The OptiMount system allows the toms to vibrate freely. RL-10 and RL-20 shells ensure a reliable, discreet fit. Remo UT Pinstripe skins on the toms aid overall balance.
The Remo UT Powerstroke 3 skin on the bass drum helps to channel low frequencies. The built-in mini muffler lets you quickly adjust the sustain of the kick. The dark mahogany interior of the drums adds to the warmth of the sound. The Nicotine White Marine finish adds an elegant, instantly recognisable vintage look.
