The Pioneer DJ CDJ-1500X DJ player and Chordcat groovebox bundle brings together two devices that complement each other particularly well if you enjoy both mixing and creating. The CDJ-1500X lets you browse your library, prepare your tracks and keep a clear overview of what’s happening whilst you’re mixing. Its large touchscreen displays waveforms and a range of useful information about the tracks, making navigation easier and helping you quickly spot interesting sections.

You also have access to Hot Cues, Beat Loop, Beat Sync and Beat Jump to interact directly with your tracks and build your transitions with greater freedom. The Wi-Fi connection gives you access to various streaming services and your compatible music libraries, whilst the USB ports let you easily access your files. The player is also compatible with rekordbox, Serato DJ Pro and djay, allowing you to choose the environment that best suits your mixing style.

Alongside this, the Chordcat lets you switch from listening to creating. This portable groovebox operates independently and helps you quickly come up with ideas thanks to its Chord Cruiser mode, which generates numerous chord combinations for you to explore. You can then work on your sequences, sounds and rhythms using the built-in instruments and drum kits, before adding movement with the arpeggiator and effects.

The XY touchpad lets you control effects very intuitively, whilst the range, pitch, filter and envelope controls give you plenty of scope to customise your creations. You can work with the Chordcat without a computer, then integrate it into your production setup thanks to its MIDI connections and compatibility with Chordcat Manager.
