Reason Studios - Reason 14 (licence)

Reason 14 is the latest version of the renowned music production software from Reason Studios. Both a full-featured digital audio workstation (DAW) and a modular environment based on the famous virtual Rack, it allows you to record, compose, mix and produce music within a unique ecosystem combining instruments, effects, samplers and creative routing. It can be used as standalone software or as a VST3, AU or AAX plug-in within other DAWs.

Compared to Reason 13, version 14 represents one of the most significant workflow developments in recent years. The interface now takes a much more track-centred approach thanks to the new Track Panel. A track’s key parameters – effects chain, levels, pan, auxiliary sends and device access – are now visible directly within the sequencer, significantly reducing the need to switch back and forth between different windows.

The sequencer also benefits from numerous improvements, including Track Folders for organising complex projects, more intuitive clip management, a modernised piano roll, automatic tempo detection when importing audio, and MIDI Note Chase, which allows playback to resume with the notes already active. These new features make composition and arrangement faster and more fluid.

Reason 14 also introduces the new RV-9 Reverb Station, an advanced reverb processor offering nine algorithms covering everything from realistic spaces to experimental, granular or infinite textures. This new addition further enriches an already impressive collection of built-in instruments and effects.

The software includes over 30,000 sounds, patches, loops and samples, enhanced in this version by over 900 new drum samples, 50 new Europa presets and 20 new impulse responses for the RV7000. The renowned Rack still allows you to freely combine synths, effects, MIDI FX Players and utilities thanks to a virtual patching system inspired by hardware studios.
