Going far beyond the possibilities of traditional pads, the HPD-20 is an instrument of HandSonic hand percussion sophisticated of extraordinary expressiveness. It features 13 velocity-sensitive pads of different sizes, which makes the circular arrangement particularly ergonomic instrument. You can hit the pads to produce sound but you can also just touch and / or push them to reduce, cut or change the pitch of another pad. Most acoustic percussion playing techniques are used identically. They can be used to create original textures for electronic dance music and other styles. The two biggest pads can produce natural timbre variations depending on where you hit them. You can also control the sounds with the ROLL button, the REALTIME MODIFY command and impressive D-Beam controller that can add visual effects to the game.
