Unlike the original Octapad PAD-8, which was only a MIDI controller, the SPD-30 Octapad remains a controller but has in addition to its own internal sound bank. The SPD-30 offers no less than 50 kits and essential sounds covering a universe of musical styles. You can customize the sound by changing the tension of the skin, mute the attack, the glissando effect etc. You have more than a semi-trailer of percussion instruments and batteries in a housing of the size of a briefcase.
Multi Effects
Taking advantage of Roland edge of technology in terms of effects, multi-effect processor SPD-30 completes your game. It offers 30 types of multi-effects plus EQ, limiter, and seven kinds of effects " Atmosphere ".
Function Phrase Loop '
The "Phrase Loop" function lets you instantly create loops with multiple overlapping phrases. You can record and store 50 phrases internal memory, including up to three successive recordings. You can also save your phrase data on a USB stick.
Advanced triggering technology
The Octapad SPD-30 benefits from the latest Roland V-Drum technology for sensors and trip. Each pad is a separate unit of exceptional sensitivity but perfectly isolated from the other. With these pads, you can add external pads (series KD / PD / PDX / CY) connected to the bi-sensor inputs and a hi-hat controller (Roland FD-8, VH-11) to create a mini battery. You can also connect the sensors of the RT Series to receive control signals from an acoustic drum.
