The Roland V-1SDI is the essential tool for those who work in large spaces or on demanding professional configurations. Its great strength lies in its hybrid connectivity: it has 3G-SDI inputs and outputs. Why is this important? Because unlike HDMI, the SDI cable allows you to place your cameras more than 100 metres from the control room without any image degradation. It's the ideal mixer for concerts, places of worship or conferences where the control room is often far from the stage.
Despite its compact size, which almost fits in one hand, the V-1SDI is a true 'all-terrain' mixer. It can mix up to four sources, including professional SDI cameras, as well as smartphones, computers and tablets via its HDMI ports. The interface remains true to Roland's spirit: simple and tactile. Backlit buttons make it easy to work in the dark of a stage or theatre, and the T-Fader offers precise manual control for smooth, elegant transitions.
Audio management is no slouch either, with a full 14-channel digital mixer. You can mix audio from your video sources with dedicated analogue inputs for microphones or external players. Each input has its own delay setting to ensure that sound and image are perfectly synchronised. Whether you're broadcasting live (webcasting) or recording for post-production, the V-1SDI delivers broadcast-quality audio and video.
Output flexibility is a major advantage. With two independent SDI outputs and an HDMI output for multiview, you can monitor your four sources on a single screen while sending your final programme to a projector or streaming encoder.
