Lefthanded Bass
The Sadowsky MetroExpress Vintage JJ Black Pearl Fretless 5 Strings Rosewood Left-Handed is an ultra-high-performance electric bass. With a 34” scale, everything falls under your fingers without forcing. The grooves follow one another with ease, the solos fly by without a hitch. No need to struggle, it breathes! The Sadowsky Light tuners hold firm, even under pressure. A turn of the key and the tuning is back in place immediately. Nothing moves, even when playing like a madman. You can hit it without a second thought, the hold remains solid. No bad surprises in the middle of a set, just a well-anchored sound ready to roar!

Presentation
The Sadowsky MetroExpress Vintage JJ Black Pearl 5 Strings Fretless Left-Handed is an electric bass that has serious assets.
Switching from a fretted to a fretless changes the game. No more fixed markers, but a tenfold expressiveness! The ear must work as much as the fingers.
The okoume gives a warm grain. Combined with the passive J-Style microphones, the sound is articulate and lively. Each nuance stands out, from the muffled to the biting.
Active or passive? Both. The EQ boosts the presence when necessary. In passive, the bass breathes more freely.
Jazz, fusion, soul? It feels good there. Its natural grain goes through the mixes well. For funk, the definition of the sound remains a real plus.
With 19 mm between the strings, the slap remains precise. In fast fingerstyle, the space is well calculated. Wide enough for attack, without hindering play.
The Just-A-Nut III simplifies adjustment. The height of the strings is set in a jiffy. Need a lower touch for legato? Easy.
The roasted maple neck does not flinch. Humidity, temperature variations, it keeps its plumb. An asset for those who travel often.
The weight remains reasonable. Well balanced, it does not pull on the shoulder. With a good strap, you can chain sets without worry.
Visually, the Black Pearl catches the light. From certain angles, it displays deep reflections. The tortoiseshell plate adds a vintage cachet.
The bridge with quick release simplifies string changes. Useful for those who like to experiment with different tensions.
The included PortaBag protects the instrument well. It is strong enough for frequent transport, without being bulky.
Fretless, left-handed, 5 strings… An unusual choice, but terribly effective! This reference has character, and it shows it.
