A simple tilt of the device and the Schlagwerk IRT92 Infinity Rain Tower TEXTILE ZEN Waterfall begins to play. The ZEN Waterfall model from the Infinity Rain Tower series, a rain stick-style instrument, sustains the note for around 22 minutes. The sound falls steadily, almost hypnotically, making it the perfect companion for yoga sessions, sound baths or inner journeys where silence needs a guiding thread.
Beneath the natural fabric lies a structure of several layers of birch plywood. The natural cork support surfaces absorb contact without any unwanted vibration. No plastic is used; the glue is formaldehyde-free and the paint is water-based. Each piece is handcrafted in German workshops, travels short distances and forms part of a sustainable production process.
The minimalist design lets the sound speak for itself. Place the instrument in the centre of the circle or slightly to one side, combine it with other sound sources, and the soundscape builds itself. No demonstration – just a textile cascade that continues its journey for as long as the session requires.

Schlagwerk was founded in 1982 by Gerhard Priel, who was training as a joiner at the time. His curiosity about Brazilian percussion instruments, which were unavailable in Germany at the time, marked the brand’s beginnings. Since then, the company has been developing its instruments in Gingen an der Fils, Germany. Its approach is based on four principles: sound, quality, innovation and sustainability. Schlagwerk uses European birch, alder and beech, as well as certain exotic woods sourced from authorised supply chains. The brand holds the Deutsche Manufakturen label and combines craftsmanship with modern technologies, whilst inspecting every instrument before it leaves the factory.
