At home, in the studio or out in nature, this Meinl Sonic Energy OSTD1BK tongue drum will take you into a soothing sound bubble. Made from high-quality stainless steel, it gives off deep, meditative vibrations. With its 9 notes tuned in D Kurd, it invites you to relax.
Placed on your lap or on a table, the instrument is stable thanks to its three silicone feet. As an added bonus, the low central note provides an enveloping base to support the melodies around it. It can be played with the fingers or with the two wooden mallets supplied. By closing the hole on the underside of the instrument with the silicone plug, you'll get a drier, more contained sound.
The tongue's sound is reminiscent of a handpan, but easier to hold. It works wonders in therapy or as a simple moment of centring.
The instrument comes with a practical zipped carrying case.
