Presentation
The Schoeps B 5 D windscreen is mainly used for close-ups, but also to protect against light wind or movement noise when the microphone is attached to a boom. It has been designed to combine efficiency with the lowest possible noise impact.
The foam around the capsule is not solid, but contains a volume of air for better insulation.
The foam of the Schoeps B 5 D is mounted on a plastic support that stays firmly in place on the microphone so that the foam does not touch the capsule to prevent any movement noise from polluting your recordings.
