The Sennheiser MMD 935-1 BK is a dynamic cardioid microphone capsule designed for use with compatible wireless handheld transmitters. Inspired by the famous e 935, it prioritises a clear and precise vocal sound whilst minimising the pickup of other sound sources on stage. Its cardioid polar pattern is one of its key advantages. It prioritises the sound source in front of the capsule whilst helping to minimise the pickup of other signals present on stage. Sennheiser also highlights its uniform on- and off-axis response, a feature that is particularly useful when the singer moves slightly off-axis from the microphone.
The MMD 935-1 BK uses a dynamic transducer and has a sensitivity of 2.5 mV/Pa. Its frequency response ranges from 40 Hz to 18 kHz and its specified maximum sound pressure level reaches 154 dB SPL. It is therefore suitable for use with powerful vocals and in live performance environments where sound levels are high.
