Here are the options available for each pickup if it is a Single Coil or a Humbucker:
- Single coil :
- Standard: standard signal direction
- Reverse: reversal of the coil
- Off: the pickup can simply be switched off
- Humbucker :
- Standard Full: coils in series with standard current direction.
- Standard South Coil: Split to leave only the South coil active, standard polarity. For most humbuckers, the South coil is the one with the screws. It's usually the one closest to the neck on a neck pickup and the one closest to the bridge on a bridge pickup.
- Reverse South Coil: Also split with the polarity reversed.
- Reverse Full: Coils in reverse polarity series.
- Standard North Coil: Split to leave only the North coil active. Standard polarity.
- Reverse North Coil: Also split but polarity reversed.
- RP: Parallel out-of-phase coils, hot spot at the beginning of the coil.
- PRP: Coils out of phase in parallel but reversed, hot spot at the end of the coil.
- Off: Any coil can be disabled, one or both.
