The EMG BTC-HZ bass system is an active preamp that handles 2 passive pickups with precise blend and 2-band EQ. Bass and treble controls are on a single dual potentiometer, with four dipswitch-selectable treble curves.

The EMG BTC System HZ gives you precise control over the sound of your bass equipped with passive pickups. With its active two-band EQ, you can adjust the bass and treble using a concentric potentiometer.
The active ABC balance (model B125) makes it easy to switch between the two pickups. You also have an independent, accessible and responsive master volume control. Thanks to the built-in dip-switch, you can choose from four treble curves to adapt the response to your style.
The BTC System HZ is powered by 9V or 18V. This system is designed for those who want to get the best out of a passive bass without modifying the original pickups.
