Showtec's DMX Merge allows you to combine two DMX controllers on a single line in 4 different modes:
Firstly, HTP (High Take Precedence) mode allows you to use your two consoles with the same addresses on a single line. The DMX channel with the higher value will then take priority over the other.
With Back-up mode, the first of your consoles will take priority, while the second will only activate automatically in the event of a failure.
With Merge mode, the two consoles are grouped together on a single line. So, for example, you can combine a stage controller and a DMX controller. The first device will use channels 1 to 96, while the second will use channel 97 in addition. The channels in question are fully configurable using the dip-switches on the back of the fixture.
Finally, LTP (Latest Take Precedence) mode will prioritise the DMX fixture to the value that changed most recently.
