Showtec - NET-2 Install

In the range of network nodes designed for fixed installations, the Showtec NET-2 Install is a compact and versatile solution for managing two universes of data in Art-Net, sACN or DMX512. Its 35 mm DIN rail format makes it easy to integrate into an electrical panel or technical cabinet, and its Phoenix cabling provides a clean, secure connection. The product can operate as a DMX input or output, depending on the chosen configuration, enabling it to perform tasks as diverse as conversion, merging or duplication of a DMX stream. The documentation confirms this flexibility, particularly on page 11 where the HTP, LTP, Normal and Backup modes are described in detail.

NET-2 Install

The Showtec NET-2 Install - or Showtec NET2 Install, or Net-2-Install - transports up to 1024 channels via a single network link, corresponding to the two DMX universes available. The unit can be powered via PoE in accordance with the IEEE 802.3af standard or via the Phoenix input accepting a wide voltage range from 12 to 36 V DC, as indicated in the specifications on page 5 and page 20 of the PDF.

NET-2 Install

. This dual option simplifies integration, whether the installation is already equipped with a PoE switch or a DC power supply.

Configuration is performed directly on the front-panel OLED display, supplemented by a set of intuitive buttons, or remotely via the integrated web interface. The manual on page 17 explains the connection procedures and the default identifiers (Admin / Admin) for accessing network configuration.

NET-2 Install
