Broadcast Microphone
The Shure DCA901 is a multi-capsule microphone for modern broadcast and audio-visual production. It delivers eight channels of audio via a simple network connection, with configurable lobes and built-in DSP to adapt the recording to any installation.

Presentation
The Shure DCA901 is designed for productions looking for versatile, accurate and quick-to-deploy recording. It combines 78 internal capsules, each individually processed, to produce eight independent directional lobes. This approach makes it possible to cover a wide area without having to multi-microphone on set, in a stadium or in a dynamic shooting environment. The result is coherent, clean and organised sound, while reducing the hardware load.
Everything passes through a single network cable, whether it's audio, power or control. This drastically reduces the amount of cabling traditionally required, simplifies routing and speeds up commissioning. Productions that need to work quickly on different sites benefit from a smooth, reproducible installation. Integration with Dante or AES67 makes it easy to add the DCA901 to an existing network, without having to overhaul the entire infrastructure.
The device incorporates a full DSP that manages parametric equalisation, noise reduction, compression, delay and automix. This processing is applied directly to the source to lighten the workload of mixing in real time, particularly for sports broadcasts or multi-camera recordings. The web interface offers intuitive control of lobe width and orientation, with a fixed visual preview and 3D view for fine-tuning the soundstage.
The DCA901 also offers a set of automixes in mono or stereo as well as a PFL channel, allowing each lobe to be checked individually without disturbing the main output. Whether for team sports, a TV set or permanent installations, this digital microphone provides wide, accurate and scalable coverage in a minimum of time.
