The Sonora 2 from Sontronics is a 2-channel, discrete Class A transistor mic preamp/DI box. British-made, the Sonora 2 is equipped with 2 powerful transistor amplifiers, capable of offering a very high level of audio reproduction, at a relatively reasonable price. Its exclusive Sontronics vintage circuitry brings a touch of smoothness and subtlety to your recordings, subtly smoothing out any harshness, while preserving the integrity of the signal. Its ultra-fast dynamic range combined with a linear frequency response allow the Sonora 2 to deliver sound reproduction full of energy and detail, faithful to the original source signal.

With a powerful, crystal-clear 66dB of gain and low noise in 6dB steps, the Sontronics Sonora2 can handle an almost infinite variety of sources, from microphones to electric guitars, synthesizers and digital pianos to pre-amping pre-recorded audio tracks.

Each channel also features a 75Hz low-cut filter, a -20dB attenuation pad, 180-degree phase inversion and independent 48V phantom power, giving you all the useful and functional controls at your fingertips.

Since audio signals are output simultaneously from each channel's XLR and jack outputs, a variety of recording and monitoring configurations are possible, further enhancing the flexibility of the Sonora 2, and your creativity.
