Much more than a simple preamp, the WA-MPX is a perfectly adaptable and extremely powerful tube mic preamp, capable of bringing back the incomparable ambience and warmth of an analogue tape. A high-end preamp, it offers a wide range of analogue tones, from clean volume with preserved clarity for the quietest sources, to richer distortion, which can be pushed even harder when the tubes are pushed to saturation. Equipped with a set of essential controls that meet the demands of professional audio use, the WA-MPX also features, among other things, a high-pass filter at 80Hz and a low-pass filter at 2kHz.

The WA-MPX preamps are hand-wired with 100% discrete electronics. Each channel has three tubes which, with the high-gain switch activated, bring the WA-MPX up to an incredible 90dB gain.
Each channel is fitted with custom-wound, large-core CineMag transformers on the inputs and outputs, bringing each preamp circuit up to 300V.
They are housed in a steel chassis with a brushed aluminium front panel, vintage-style bakelite knobs and amber-tinted VU meters.
All these key components combined with the traditional construction technique offer not only a legendary tube preamp, but also one of the best values in an all-tube mic preamp on the market today.
Following the warm, true-to-original tone formula driven by high-end components, all WA-MPXs are carefully inspected and hand-tested at Warm Audio's headquarters in Austin, Texas.
