The Soundboks Rider active speaker is designed to accompany you on the go, at small gatherings and during impromptu moments, delivering energetic sound that remains beautifully controlled despite its compact size – so you can make a lot of noise without having to move a cupboard.

Weighing just 6.5 kg, this Bluetooth speaker is easy to carry from one place to another and fits naturally into on-the-go scenarios, from the park to the beach to an outdoor event, with a claimed battery life of 35 to 40 hours at moderate volume to keep the music playing.

The Soundboks Rider is designed with portability in mind, where durability is just as important as sound quality, thanks to a robust build, a removable steel grille and IP66 certification to withstand water splashes and dust, as well as a replaceable battery that means you’re not limited to locations with a power supply.

Its audio architecture combines an 8-inch woofer and a 1-inch tweeter with Class D amplification, delivering a claimed output of up to 118 dB SPL and a frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz, all supported by a dedicated bass DSP that helps maintain an energetic yet controlled sound, even when the music demands more presence in the lower frequencies.

The SOUNDBOKS Soundboks Rider also takes a straightforward approach to sound management, with audio profiles tailored to different settings and a customisable equaliser via the Companion app, allowing you to adjust the sound to suit the desired atmosphere without turning every adjustment into a laboratory experiment, whilst firmware updates can improve performance over time; Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity covers wireless use, and the ∅3.5 mm mini-jack auxiliary input provides a wired option for compatible sources.
