The LX7 II console is an evolution of the LX7. Featuring a new mic preamp with greater dynamic range and a new EQ section, it is directly inspired by the new design of the MH series. This new design has been christened GB30, after the initials of Graham Blyth (co-founder and CTO of Soundcraft) and celebrating Soundcraft's 30th anniversary. The LX7 II is flexible and functional, and can be used for front-of-house mixing and stage monitors. It is particularly suited to fixed installations as well as small and medium-sized live performances. Packed with features, the LX7 II includes direct outputs on each input for multitrack recording.
- The new GB30 mic preamp offers a wider dynamic range.
- The new high-quality 4-band GB30 corrector was previously unavailable on a console of this price. It has now been integrated into the LX7 II.
- The signal-to-noise ratio has been improved by 6 dB compared with the original LX7.
- This console has 7 real busses comprising 4 subgroups, a stereo output and a mono output, plus 6 pre/post fader switchable auxes.
- The LX7 II has direct outputs for multitrack recording during live or studio performances.
- The 48V phantom powering of the microphone inputs is switchable in blocks of 4 channels, enabling the use of condenser microphones under optimum conditions.
