The CTP-3 CoolTube, the first and only integrated tube preamp for acoustic guitar, produces a rich, full sound.
It takes its name from Takamine's innovative technology, which uses an ultra-low voltage 12AU7 tube, so low that it remains cool to the touch, with a variable tone that can be adjusted from bright to thick and warm.
The EQ section of the preamp uses stepped filters to sculpt the bass and treble, with semi-parametric control over the midrange (a control knob adjusts the frequency between 250 Hz and 5 kHz).
