Presentation
Takamine's EC132SC, made in Japan, is inspired by Antonio de Torres' classic models, with a solid cedar top and rosewood back and sides for enhanced projection and sonic presence.
The cutaway removes any impediment to reaching the high notes, making it practical for every solo or sophisticated passage. The mahogany neck, fitted with a double truss-rod, keeps its setting stable even when the weather changes - a discreet detail, but one that makes all the difference when you're playing for a long time.
In terms of amplification, it features the CT4B II preamp, which delivers a warm, natural acoustic sound at high sound pressure levels.
In your hand, you'll feel just as at home with its traditional construction as you will with its electro-acoustic possibilities, which encourage you to explore different styles: a jazz passage on nylon, a Latin-flamenco flight, or simply an amplified improvisation.

Antonio de Torres Jurado (1817-1892) is widely regarded as the father of the modern classical guitar. Born in Spain, he revolutionised guitar construction in the mid-nineteenth century by increasing the size of the body, slimming the soundboard and perfecting fan bracing under the soundboard. These innovations resulted in a more powerful guitar with better sound projection and greater harmonic richness, laying the foundations for the instrument as we know it today. His work had a profound influence on all the luthiers who followed him, and his original guitars are highly sought-after and valued instruments.
