The Tascam DR-40 is a portable 4-track recorder incorporating static directional microphones, XLR mic inputs and ensuring a long battery life. It takes anywhere, and records up to 4 tracks from its built-in microphones, external microphones or source line level. The built-in microphones, high quality, are adjustable in XY configuration or AB, which optimizes the sound according to the characteristics of the source. The preamps integrated Tascam allow power external condenser microphones (Phantom power) for a high-quality recording, served by a resolution of 24 bit / 96 kHz. The DR-40 accepts XLR or 6.35mm balanced connectors, thanks to its inputs on Neutrik Combo lockable. It records to SD or SDHC card (maximum capacity: 32 GB), and it comes with a 2GB card.
After recording, you can review your shots by applying EQ and the optional Level Align function increases the overall sound level subjective. A stereo reverb is also available; the device also incorporates a speakerphone control and a chromatic tuner. A USB 2.0 port ensures rapid transfer of digital audio data recorded to a computer. Other features include the overdub mode, playback speed and / or adjustable height, a limiter and a high-pass filter, etc. Thanks to its user interface of great simplicity, the DR-40 is perfect for recording at home or in concert.
The DR-40 can also be controlled via an optional footswitch pedal (RC-3F) or an optional wireless remote control (RC-10). Another option for a battery pack (BP-6AA), carrying six size batteries LR06 (AA), which puts the autonomy of the camera 17:30 to 50 hours, without the need for a power adapter or computer. This pack, battery is designed to attach to the DR-40 and to a tripod, and will be available in October 2011.

Voilà un bon enregistreur audio, le son est forcément superbe, numérique, Tascam, etc. Que du sérieux. Je suis un client satisfait qui va s'amuser à chasser les sons dans les forêts (oiseaux etc.) et un peu partout, je bosse dans ce milieu, le son et l'audio-visuel.

J'en possède déjà 1, très bon produit intuitif, les micros sont de bonne facture, c'est bien la version v2 du dr40, c'est seulement une mise à jour du soft, prévoir d'acheter la télécommande vendu cher à mon avis,

Pour le moment, je ne sais l’utiliser qu’avec le son wave produit par défaut, mais je suis déjà frappé par la qualité du son que j’obtiens, tant sur la guitare que sur la voix.
