Tascam - Lecteur Enregistreur SS-R250N
The Tascam SS-R250N is a network recorder and player designed for studios, fixed installations and broadcast applications, offering secure recording to SD cards and USB with advanced remote control and network connectivity features.
Presentation
Compatible with SD, SDHC, SDXC cards and USB sticks, it ensures WAV and MP3 recordings with increased reliability thanks to its two memory card slots, guaranteeing redundant or relay recording.
This model is distinguished by its advanced network connectivity, allowing it to automatically send completed recordings to an FTP server, or to download audio files for playback. In addition, time synchronization via SNTP ensures optimal accuracy of scheduled events.
Equipped with a complete connectivity, the SS-R250N integrates balanced and unbalanced analog audio inputs and outputs (XLR, RCA), as well as digital inputs/outputs in AES/EBU and S/PDIF with integrated sampling conversion. An optional Dante card also allows the device to be integrated into professional audio networks.
With its many remote control options, it can be controlled via a dedicated wired remote control (RC-SS150), a mobile application (iOS/Android), or via serial and parallel control for seamless integration into centralized management systems.
In terms of data security, the SS-R250N has several essential functions:
- Relay mode, which automatically switches from one SD card to another for uninterrupted recording.
- Backup mode, which records simultaneously on two media to avoid data loss in the event of a failure.
- Automatic file closing, ensuring the integrity of recordings even in the event of a power outage.
Its many features dedicated to audio playback and processing make it a powerful and versatile tool: support for Flash Start playback, pitch and tempo control, various playback modes (programmed, random, A-B repeat), advanced marker management and support for external remote controls and footswitches.
