Before it had its signature head, dUg Pinnick's distinctive sound involved running a guitar amp and a bass amp together, as well as a rack full of effects. Wanting to streamline his equipment, dUg collaborated with Tech 21 to create this all-analogue pedal. An ultra-compact adaptation of the Ultra Bass 1000 head, the DP-3X preamp also recreates the sound originally developed in the 80s, fusing a distorted treble and bass.

As well as achieving the unique sound of the dUg, the DP-3X has the flexibility to provide traditional bass amp sounds too.
Mix mode engages the Drive to provide distortion and the Chunk provides the higher harmonics.
A Gain knob provides additional distortion and compression.
In clean / full-range mode, the Drive and Chunk disengage, while Comp and Gain remain active.
