Presentation
The Torso Electronics S-4 White is a granular sampling-based performance instrument designed to manipulate and transform sound in real time. It features four independent stereo tracks, each with a complete processing workflow for loading, recording and reshaping samples.
Each track has five distinct sections: audio playback and recording, granular transformation, resonant filter bank, saturation and dynamics processing, and spatial effects. This modular architecture makes it possible to explore both ambient textures and experimental rhythmic constructions.
The modulation engine provides four modulators per track with LFOs, envelopes, random sources and envelope followers. Parameters can be continuously animated to create evolving textures. A dedicated performance page features 12 assignable macros for immediate control in live situations.
The S4 White also incorporates 128 scenes for instant storage of all settings and samples. A 4-channel stereo mixer with DJ-style filters and global compressor lets you use the device as a stand-alone performance centre.
