When you connect your amp to the Two Notes Torpedo Captor X + 8 Ω, you retain all the dynamics of the tubes without relying on a physical cabinet, which radically changes the way you play at home or in rehearsal. You can push your all-tube amp up to 100 W, keep the volume under control and enjoy faithful reproduction directly through headphones or an interface.
You can adjust the volume with the 3 levels of built-in attenuation, allowing you to adapt your sound without sacrificing the natural response of your amp. This approach keeps the grain intact, even when you're playing at low levels, avoiding the classic frustrations associated with tube amps that are too powerful for home use.
The DynIR engine of the Two Notes Torpedo Captor X + 8 Ω gives you access to over 30 virtual speakers, each captured with 8 different mic types, opening up a very wide field of sonic exploration. You can combine 2 microphones simultaneously, adjust their position and create very precise textures, as if you were placing your microphone in a studio.
With the True Stereo engine, your mono signal expands into a controlled stereo space, giving you an immediate sense of air and depth. You can adjust the panning of each mic or IR independently, creating a balanced or deliberately shifted soundfield to suit your style.
The Virtual Load Shaper acts directly on the impedance response, modifying the character of the loadbox output signal without touching your amp. You can tighten the bass, add warmth or accentuate certain frequencies to refine your sonic identity, with results heard instantly on the XLR outputs or headphones.
You have access to a range of built-in effects such as reverb, semi-parametric equalisation and enhancer, so you can fine-tune your sound without the need for additional external equipment.
